Gregor Nelson, Ed.D., has spent her career helping individuals and organizations grow, with a background in human resources and a focus on learning and development. She holds a B.A. in economics from the College of Saint Benedict, a Master of Professional Studies in organization development and change from Penn State, and a doctorate in leadership and learning in organizations from Vanderbilt. She has a deep curiosity about how people learn, adapt, and find meaning in life’s challenges. Beyond her academic and professional background, Gregor draws from her personal experiences of resilience and growth, including the ones that inspired this essay. She believes that when we courageously share our stories, we can connect, heal, and inspire others to do the same.
